End of the world?
December 21, 2012 is a date that is believed by many to be the end of the world. And why, you may ask. Why? Well, it is because of the Mayan Calendar. Yep, that's right, because someone hundreds of years ago decided to carve a calendar out of stone. And now, because this guy was too lazy to keep going past the 21st of December 2012 we have to deal with these theories about how we are all going to meet our demise. And, really, why would he keep going? He was going to be dead by the time the calendar reached its final date. And I am sure that John, yes we are calling the Mayan guy John, figured that when humanity reached 2012 we would have the technology to print our own calendars. And guess what, he was right. I went to the store the other day, and we totally do have calendars. And they don't weigh thousands of pounds. Oh, and some of them even have horses on them. And, just so you know the February horsey was ever so lovely. But i digress. We don't need the "carved out of stone" model any more. And we are not all going to die.

I don't know if you know this, but the aztec calendar is based on the mayan calendar. So even if the image is Aztec the count down to the end of the earth is still the same
12/21/12 is the magic date! Timewave zero drops off the chart. There is a galactic alignment with Earth and the exact center of the galaxy. The Mayan calander ends. It's the same day as winter solstice and might have a solar pole reversal. Not to mention the whole hidden planet X thing that is coming or the aliens that are traveling on the dimensional wave that will shift us into the 4th dimension.... I'll see your garden gnome in Hell!
What does this have to do with gnomes. Unless... Your sugesting that the Myans figured out the secret of the gnome conspericy to destroy the world when it was still forming, based there calender on it, and tried to warn others, which got there cyvilisation destroyed by the gnoms!

the mayan calender starts somewhere around 3000bc. it ends on 12/21/12. thats the cycle of when the sun is centered in our galaxy with the earth and other s planets lined up. thats all. "john"? what the hell. while the mayans learded math that europe didnt understant for at 500yrs later john was looking for a cave to sleep in. and lazy? the pyramids and roads that where built cant be duplicated even using todays technology. get facts before saying anything.

I hear this, "why not stop then, maybe he got bored" all the time. The calander is not liner, it is circuler. the day it ends is the same day it begins, some 35,000 year period, know as a ba'kuh. The idea is the death and rebegining of everything
I fear the Xray source that will be opened up into close alignment from
our center of the galaxy. Some crazy
Rube Goldbergian or frosh physics effect then causes the Sun to really
heat up hotter causing these Jargantuous hot flares to hit our moon
and explode it right out of the sky.
The rest of the planets shall dutifully
stay lined up waiting for their turn,
